Havana Mojito

1½ ounces light Havana rum

3 tsp. cane sugar

Juice of 1 fresh squeezed lime

Fresh mint

Club Soda

Mix the lime juice and cane sugar together blending well.  (Optional: prepare cane syrup mixture by mixing together equal parts cane sugar and water, melting slowly on the stovetop over low heat.) Add lime juice/sugar mixture into a tall glass, add the rum, club soda and ice stirring gently together to blend well.  Add a sprig of fresh mint and slice of lime to garnish.  Drink and enjoy in moderation.
